dividing northside of dublin southside, liffey today spanned numerous bridges, open vehicular traffic. these include west-link bridge on m50 motorway, seán heuston bridge , o connell bridge. there 3 pedestrian bridges in city: millennium bridge, seán o casey bridge , ha penny bridge. 21st century additions include samuel beckett bridge (2009) , james joyce bridge (2003), both designed santiago calatrava.


crossings further upriver include liffey bridge @ celbridge, bridge @ 16 (a 19th-century pedestrian suspension bridge @ k club), , leinster aqueduct – carries grand canal on liffey @ caragh.


art works along river , quays include famine memorial statues (near ifsc) , world hunger stone.
