iowa highway 920 (iowa 920) northern half of section of iowa 150 vacated when rerouted on iowa 101. began @ same intersection in benton county west of walker iowa 101 ended. iowa 920 headed east towards walker, highway skirted edge of town curving south. route headed due south along center point road few miles until curved southwest , southeast center point. through center point, highway known franklin street. in southern part of town, center point road turned south, iowa 920 ended.
in 2002, road use tax fund committee, mix of city, county, , state transportation officials, met review , recommend changes iowa s public road system. report necessitated increasing costs maintain highway system , level of funding not keeping rising costs. committee identified on 700 miles (1,100 km) of state highways, including iowa 920, turned on local jurisdictions. of committee s recommendations accepted , on july 1, 2003, iowa 920 , on 600 miles (970 km) of state highways turned on counties or local jurisdictions. east–west portion near walker replaced cr d62, while north–south portion became cr w6e.
the portion of center point road south of center point known iowa 921 year. 12.5-mile-long (20.1 km) route extended south hiawatha. turned on linn county 1986 sections of i-380, being built adjacent center point road, opened traffic. rural parts of center point road became known cr w6e, while parts in hiawatha known center point road.
