the varsity baseball team won 6 straight state titles 1993–1998, seventh state title in 2001 , eighth in 2003.
the varsity girls golf team, 144 consecutive victories 1992–2004, holds high school level national record consecutive victories.

chartered in october 1991, key club of green valley has achieved several awards , has been recognized 1 of more influential helpers in local home, school, , community. currently, mrs. santee, winner of adviser of year @ california-nevada-hawaii district convention 2013, , mr. guerin co-advising key club.

theatre

in 2006 green valley high school 1 of 6 u.s. high schools premier high school musical ; in 2008 1 of 4 u.s. high schools present disney high school musical 2: on stage. asked again premier of disney s musicals, camp rock: musical in summer of 2010. in 2014, premiered disney , cameron mackintosh s mary poppins: musical , ran late january february. in may 2014, production of mary poppins became first high school play show @ las vegas smith center. selected 1 of few high school shows chosen around country perform on lied stage in june @ 2014 international thespian festival in lincoln, nebraska. theatre department led jennifer hemme.

forensics

the forensics team has won sixteen straight clark county school district titles , ten state titles since 1995. forensigators have qualified students nfl national tournament every year since 1994. 2008 national forensics tournament held @ green valley high school.

fine arts

the fine arts department awarded national grammy signature status in 2002, 2005, , 2012.

film

the film club, gatorreels, has made online comedy show since 2008. have 3 full seasons, making fourth season, , have on 100 subscribers on youtube channel.

varsity quiz

varsity quiz team has won 8 county championships since 1991, in 2010.

science bowl

science bowl team finished in top ten @ regional doe science bowl 4 times since 2000.

music

in 2015, green valley marching band traveled orlando, florida participate in parade of bands in disney world.

in 2004, green valley high schools symphonic band first band in state of nevada participate in midwest clinic in chicago, illinois. performed @ carnegie hall in april 2006 , november 2010. band marched in inauguration parades of bill clinton (1993) , barack obama (2009). koutsulis recognized clark county school district teacher of year in 1998.

the choral department has accompanied las vegas philharmonic orchestra several times , been invited heritage festival , other programs across nation.

the green valley high school symphony performed @ midwest clinic in chicago, illinois in december 2008. green valley high school marching band invited march in macy s thanksgiving day parade in 2010. green valley high school marching band invited perform in opening ceremonies parade 2011 shanghai world tourism expo in shanghai, china. green valley high school marching band has been invited number of prestigious ceremonies such first easter parade in edinburgh, scotland (2003) new years day parades in both london , paris. green valley s madrigal singers invited among thousands of international applicants perform @ american choral director s association in both 2005 , 2009. select group of green valley high school s choir members invited sing rolling stones @ 50th anniversary tour @ mgm grand garden arena in 2013.

newspaper

the investigator has been named best high school newspaper in nevada 18 of past 23 years, including 8 years in row 2004 2011. publication won award in 2017.

the green valley high school student council has won silver star award every year since 1993. council has been recognized national gold council of excellence in 2008 , 2009.
