students @ lakota west given plenty of opportunity participate in clubs , after school activities ranging peer counseling voice school chapter of mu alpha theta. other clubs , activities include sga, jcl, chess club, academic quiz team, yearbook team, psychology club, theatre, choir , band.

lakota west s latin club functions local chapter of both ohio junior classical league (ojcl) , national junior classical league (njcl).

lakota west performed in 2015 rose parade in pasadena, california.

a main fixture @ lakota west high school sporting events mascot, firebird. can seen before football games in fall.
