$500,000 usd made available prize money entire capcom cup, donated capcom, twitch.tv, , new partner sony. each of premier events had prize pool of $15,000 usd split among top 8 winners. 2015 evolution championships, 1 of wild card tournaments, had prize pool of $50,000 usd, $20,000 of awarded tournament s champion. capcom stated in press release had 3 goals in mind 2015 season, first being give fans more street fighter content enjoy , forward to, second being distribute tournaments , points more evenly across different world regions, , last being increase tournament prize pools in order incentivize more players participate.

the canada cup, held in october, won tokido, defeating fuudo 3-1 margin in grand final. yusuke momochi came in third-place , gamerbee fourth. of top 4 finishers had qualified capcom cup, stake eliminated , converted additional points-based berth, due rule change announced after infiltration qualified cup @ stunfest coming in third.


the capcom pro tour asia finals 2015 held on november 13–15. lee chung poongko gon won tournament defeating naoki nemo nemoto in grand finals. dreamhack winter 2015, last premier event of capcom pro tour, third premier event of 2015 season won xian. defeated french player olivier luffy hay in grand finals, though latter had qualified capcom cup through points alone.


16 players, including darryl snake eyez lewis, kentaro misse nakamura, , justin wong, qualified capcom cup 2015 acquiring large amount of points throughout pro tour. director of brand marketing @ capcom matt dahlgren stated in interview fortune.com each premier event got 300,000 500,000 unique viewers, cumulating total of 40 million views throughout season.
