linguistic boundaries

sindhi has extended boundaries beyond province of sindh . in northern sindh flows on north-west balochistan province, former bahawalpur state (now in punjab), on west bounded mountain range separating sindh balochistan.

this boundary has not been crossed sindhi, except in southern part of hilly area of kohistan. here in general, language spoken balochi sindhi spoken large number of population. spoken mother tongue in parts of balochistan. has spread influence still further towards persian gulf in lasbella area of balochistan , spoken first language along makrani coast large number of people in jadgal, gwadar, ormara , pasni, , has crossed gulf , spoken in muskat, uae , in coastal region.

in east , south-west, sindhi has crossed rann of kutch , spoken large number of people in kucch, gujarat , peninsula of kathiawar in india. in east, has influenced speech of neighbouing parts of marwar , jaisalmir states of rajasthan (rajputana in india).

after independence of pakistan, numerous sindhi hindus migrated sindh , settled in central , western parts of india , speak sindhi @ home. in 2010, estimated population of sindhi hindus in ulhasnagar in india 400,000. spoken approximately 400,000 people first language, in tanzania, kenya, uganda, congo, south africa, madagascar, east africa, uk, , canada have migrated sindh , settled there. spoken in hong kong, singapore, thailand, sri lanka , in other countries in far-east , south east-asia people have settled there in first quarter of 20th century or earlier.
