$500,000 usd made available prize money entire capcom cup, donated capcom, twitch.tv, , new partner sony. each of premier events had prize pool of $15,000 usd split among top 8 winners. 2015 evolution championships, 1 of wild card tournaments, had prize pool of $50,000 usd, $20,000 of awarded tournament s champion. capcom stated in press release had 3 goals in mind 2015 season, first being give fans more street fighter content enjoy , forward to, second being distribute tournaments , points more evenly across different world regions, , last being increase tournament prize pools in order incentivize more players participate.
