born in newport, isle of wight, silk started career youth player @ portsmouth. made professional debut player in december 2003 whilst on loan @ barnet, , since spent of season 2004/05 on loan @ wycombe wanderers. presence in wycombe s quarter-final football league trophy run of 2004–05.


notts county

at end of 2005–06 season released portsmouth , joined notts county, before being released on 13 may 2008.


mansfield town

he joined neighbours mansfield town , became fans favourite @ field mill. won every player of year award available , signed two-year deal stags despite having offer football league club.


grimsby town

in june 2011, left mansfield town after 3 seasons, join grimsby town, become grimsby s first new signing 2011–12. after injury plagued season in silk featured 24 times in league released club on 3 may 2012.


boston united

in july 2012 joined lincoln city on trial. in august, signed one-year deal jason lee s boston united. following managerial change @ club, new united boss graham drury released silk on 12 february 2013 after university commitments had prevented him training on thursday nights. drury added need players train on thursday nights . silk played 26 times pilgirms , made final appearance against local rivals gainsborough trinity.


on 14 march announced on boston united website silk, s registration had never been cancelled, being brought club new manager dennis greene. silk released boston second time @ end of 2012–13 season.
