roxas did not finish full four-year term. on morning of april 15, 1948 roxas delivered speech before united states thirteenth air force. after speech, felt dizzy , brought residence of major general e.l. eubank @ clark field, pampanga. died later night of heart attack. roxas term president third shortest, lasting 1 year, ten months, , 18 days.


on april 17, 1948, 2 days after roxas death, vice-president elpidio quirino took oath of office president of philippines.
