vianden castle
one of country s famous monuments, imposing castle of vianden, built between 11th , 13th centuries on site of gallo-roman castellum. designed fort, square tower, kitchen, chapel , living rooms added around 1100. during 12th century, new tower containing living quarters built prestigious new decagonal chapel. impress house of luxembourg, counts of vianden constructed new two-storey palace measuring 10 13 metres @ beginning of 13th century, attaching chapel means of magnificent gallery. final alterations took place in middle of 13th century when gothic style introduced throughout building.

bourscheid castle has origins in 11th century, when consisted of tower building linked chapel. long surrounding wall watchtowers completed in 1384 stolzembourg house, separate residential building designed masters of bourscheid. body of castle raised height of 10 metres, housing 4 storeys complete large fireplace , chimney.
