the 6-acre (2.4 ha) interstate state park ccc/wpa/rustic style historic district @ northeast end of minnesota park contains 6 contributing properties. these consist of 3 buildings, 2 structures, , object. noteworthy women s rest room (built c. 1920) , men s rest room (built 1928), predate federal developments , influenced wpa s use of rustic style in park. these 2 buildings situated @ north end of parking lot; men s rest room noted placement relative rock outcroppings , women s rest room modified wpa in 1941. third contributing building 1939 refectory, concession building renovated in 1981 restrooms , office space become current visitor center. 2 contributing structures 1937 stone curb in parking lot , 150-foot-long (46 m) retaining wall built in 1938 @ south end of glacial gardens. contributing object 1938 water fountain @ south end of parking lot.


the 22-acre (8.9 ha) interstate state park ccc/wpa/rustic style campground @ southwest end of minnesota park contains 6 contributing properties well. these consist of 3 buildings—the 1938 sanitation building (restrooms @ west end of picnic area), 1938 shelter/refectory (in center of picnic area), , 1941 combination building (restrooms in campground)—and 3 objects (the drinking fountains scattered in picnic area) built in 1938. combination building based on design used in whitewater state park in 1938, though use of different local materials gives them different appearance. open-sided picnic shelter free-standing metal fireplace built in 1980 , considered non-contributing property district.
