most of cemaes head comprises pastureland, headland contains nature reserve – cemaes head nature reserve (site centre no. sn131500) – measuring 20 ha (49.4 acres) in size. rated marine special area of conservation (sac) , site of special scientific interest (sssi). since 1984 has been owned , managed wildlife trust of south , west wales , predecessor trust purchased tenure countryside commission, dyfed county council, nature conservancy council , world wildlife fund. @ time 50th nature reserve acquired trust.
