sony computer entertainment europe announced playstation 3 slim, smaller , lighter model of console , release date of 1 september 2009. firmware 3.0 playstation 3 announced, adding new features playstation network. sony announced european video store launch in november 2009. sony announced playstation portable smaller games (under 100mb) in form of minis , comics available download in december 2009. free game registration promotion announced psp go.


microsoft game studios announced fable iii, along release date of 2010. also, microsoft announced intention release fable ii on xbox live marketplace in 5 episodes, first of free download.
