the heinkel p.1078 project had 3 quite different variants. of them single-seat fighters polihedral swept wings. wings swept @ 40 degrees , included wood in construction. of projected aircraft had wing tips angled downwards , of them powered single heinkel hes 011 turbojet.


p.1078 a

jet-powered interceptor. conventional-looking of 3 designs submitted 1 having tail. armament 2 mk 108 cannons, in following 2 variants.


p.1078 b

a tailless asymmetric jet-powered interceptor short fuselage in air intake of engine located in middle between 2 gondolas. cockpit located on gondola of left side, while right side gondola contained front undercarriage leg , cannon armament.


p.1078 c

a tailless interceptor project similar p.1078 b single short fuselage. both p.1078 b , p.1078 c had wing tips angled downwards @ more pronounced angle p.1078 a.
