cloister


very little of original romanesque architecture remains. 11th-12th century bell tower, reconstructed later, best preserved building. slender tower, 32 metres (105 ft) in height, , rectangular in shape. consists of 5 floors windows in top four.


the gothic-style church, built between 14th , 16th centuries, serves parish church. has late romanesque cloister partially destroyed in 1877. annexed cloister ancient abbey house large patio windows , gothic arches. tombs of nobles buried in monastery desecrated , plundered; little remains of them.


the adjoining church of santa maria municipal museum.
