Shefa-Amr attack Eden Natan-Zada

natan-zada boarded shefa- amr-bound bus on thursday, 4 august 2005. dressed in full idf uniform, carrying idf-issued m16 rifle, and, according observers, wearing skullcap, beard, , sidelocks of observant jew, orange ribbon hanging pocket. according witnesses, bus driver surprised see religiously-observant jewish soldier making way shefa- amr (an overwhelmingly arab city) via public bus, asked natan-zada if wanted take current route. upon arriving in shefa- amr s primary druze neighborhood, natan-zada stood , approached front door if disembark bus. when door opened, natan-zada turned around , shot driver. fatally shot man sitting behind driver, , fired rest of bus, killing 2 young women , wounding twenty-one passengers. when paused reload weapon, passenger grabbed barrel of gun, sustaining burn injuries, , subdued streetgoers gathered around scene of bus shooting. when police arrived @ scene tied still alive, small force of police officers on scene not prevent crowd lynching him, , 9 police officers injured attempting protect him. took police 4 hours remove body scene.

the 4 victims hazar turki , dina turki, 2 sisters in twenties, , 2 men, michel bahus (the driver) , nader hayek; arab citizens of israel. wounded rushed rambam medical center in haifa. in days after attack, 40,000 people attended funeral service in honor of victims in town. 2 sisters buried in islamic cemetery, , 2 men in local christian cemetery.
