at around same time joined nu107, became member of afterimage, managed martin galan, managed dawn. when francis joined dawn, juggling school, nu107, , band. when schedule of dawn began fill up, became negligent radio station , let go amicably in 1992. returned in 1997 host show in raw , , has been station since then. appointed chief announcer , musical director until nu107 went final broadcast on november 7, 2010.

reyes met dawn during tenure afterimage, although had known jett pangan in university during interpretative reading contests pangan regularly won. became friendly group s guitarist/founder teddy diaz , spoke of forming thrash metal side project drummer jb leonor s brother dennis. unfortunately, teddy murdered mere days after talk. reyes asked 1 of 3 guitarists play teddy s parts in tribute concert salamat teddy @ folk arts theater in september 1988.

reyes returned afterimage during atsushi matsuura s tenure dawn , became 1 of band s roadies. in november 1989, asked replace matsuura.

reyes recorded 3 albums , played dawn until january 1995 when band decided go on hiatus. between , until band reformed, became session guitarist lou bonnevie, kulay, p.o.t., , joey ayala. credits experience dawn , eclectic music being able play in different genres comfortably.

the dawn reformed atsushi matsuura in 1999, expanding line-up five-piece. when matsuura parted ways band in 2004, reyes became sole guitarist.

on april 16, 2009, francis left band after jett pangan called hard meeting . pangan went on state though francis welcome rejoin band.

francis, along bassist carlos balcells returned band on june 7, 2016, band became quintet once again.

solo work , current projects

reyes contractual music arranger roadrunner network. contributed piece compilation album mga gitarista under 12stone records. although encouraged peers create guitar-oriented solo album, reyes not interested, preferring focus energies on dawn.

he formed improvisation-oriented trio garlic razorback bassist louie talan , imago drummer zach lucero (also nu107 alumnus) in 1998. although group garnered critical accolades, have yet record album.

he part of helenovela former orange , lemons frontman mcoy fundales, kenyo , peso movement japs sergio (ex-rivermaya), drummer kurt floresca , former jet pangan group bassist macky macaventa true faith.
