execution

the marseille turn can simplified 3 basic steps; master foot drag-back, body spin, , weaker foot drag-back. can executed while player stationary or during run. first step may performed either foot (in case other foot performs second drag-back), more common players initiate master foot, or foot prefer kick ball with.


master foot drag-back

the move begins player facing ball , ball step away or less. player launches off weaker foot, extends master foot, steps lightly on ball tip of sole , pulls ball along floor towards himself. foot should remain in contact ball momentarily only; once ball set in motion, master foot continues in original direction , lands on floor provide support second part of body spin.


body spin

the body spin commences @ same time master foot drag back. executing player throws body forward on ball being pulled back. concurrently, spins body 90 degrees turning facing side of weaker foot.


the second part of body spin commences ball approaches player s weaker foot; master foot touches floor , player uses continue pivoting body. spins until faces direction of master foot in original position.


weaker foot drag-back

the player steps on ball weaker foot approaches stop motion, pulls ball sole of boots, in direction of master foot in original position. drag-back performed simultaneously second part of body spin. completion of body spin, direction player faces coincides of motion of ball.
