the damdami taksal has utmost respect sanctity guru granth sahib , throne


the word taksal (literally mint ) refers education institute or community of students associate particular sant or prominent spiritual leader. in 1706..... gobind singh...... said have founded distinguished school of exegesis . later headed baba deep singh according damdami taksal, entrusted responsibility of teaching reading (santhyia), analysis (vichar) , recitation of sikh scriptures guru gobind singh.


jatha bhindran mehta or bhindran taksal considered current damdami taksal.


in 1975, large event commemorate 300th anniversary martyrdom of guru tegh bahadur attended indira gandhi , leader of damdami taksal (kartar singh bhindranwale). starting point of tensions between damdami taksal , indian congress government. dispute leader , had upmost authority on sikh people, guru granth sahib or indira gandhi.

leadership

during british colonial rule, sunder singh bhindranwale set purging diversity in sikh doctrine, ritual , practice, hoping have uniform sikh community. part of strategy have standardized code of conduct (rehat maryada). sunder singh established gurdwara gurdarshan parkash @ mehta, amritsar district, headquarters of today s damdami taksal.


sunder singh succeeded gurbachan singh bhindranwale in 1930, after whom kartar singh bhindranwale continued work in 1961. in 1977, after death of kartar singh, jarnail singh bhindranwale became head of damdami taksal. baba thakur singh bhinderwale took on taksal when sant jarnail singh killed in 1984 military assault on harmander sahib, referred operation bluestar. baba takhur singh died in 2004. current leader of damdami taksal sant giani harnam singh khalsa bhindranwale.
